Latisse™ is a FDA-approved prescription treatment used to grow eyelashes, making them longer, thicker and darker. Latisse was discovered when doctors began prescribing bimatoprost, the active ingredient in Latisse™, for glaucoma patients or patients with ocular hypertension. Eyelash growth was an unexpected side effect of Lumigan, which led to the creation and marketing of Latisse™.
