Your provider decides at your visit, after reviewing your health history, medications and goals. You don't need diabetes: both GLP-1 programs are prescribed for weight loss in people without diabetes, under provider supervision.
Phentermine's label adds a BMI rule: a BMI (body mass index, a measure of weight for height) of 30 or higher, or 27 or higher with another risk factor such as controlled high blood pressure, diabetes or high cholesterol.

Phentermine is priced differently: each month's price includes the visit, the medication and a B12 injection. Blood pressure is checked at the visits, and telehealth patients send a picture of a recent blood pressure reading beforehand.
Nothing is charged when you book, and there are no contracts.

Your visits are with Sarah Weir, APRN, an advanced practice registered nurse licensed in Florida. She prescribes your treatment and adjusts it as you go.

Can you do medical weight loss by telehealth?
Yes. You can have telehealth visits anywhere in Florida, as long as you are physically in Florida at the time of the visit. GLP-1 medication ships to your door, so the whole program can happen from home.
Phentermine by telehealth also needs a valid Florida driver's license or state ID and a picture of a recent blood pressure reading before the visit. Without a Florida ID, the phentermine visit is in person.

How long you stay on a GLP-1 program is up to you and your provider, based on your progress and health. Phentermine is labeled for short-term use, and your provider decides how long is right for you.
Who should not use these medications?
They are not right for everyone, and your provider decides. Tell your provider if you are pregnant, planning a pregnancy or breastfeeding. A GLP-1 is usually ruled out if you or a family member has had thyroid cancer or a condition called MEN 2. Phentermine's label rules it out with heart disease, uncontrolled high blood pressure, an overactive thyroid, glaucoma or a history of drug abuse.
Should I choose in person or telehealth?
Pick whichever fits your week: you see the same provider at the same prices either way. In person suits you if you live near Ocala; telehealth saves the drive, as long as you are in Florida during the visit.
I live in Inverness or The Villages. Can I come to you?
Yes. From The Villages, our clinic is about 22 miles and roughly 34 minutes without traffic, by way of US 441 and US 301. From Inverness, it is about 31 miles and roughly 50 minutes, mostly on SR 200. Or skip the drive with telehealth.
Why do you ask for a card on file, and what is the no-show fee?
The card holds your appointment, and nothing is charged when you book. If you don't show, or don't cancel or reschedule at least 24 hours ahead, there is a $50 no-show fee, which can be applied to your next visit. Without a card, your appointment isn't confirmed until staff reach you by phone. Of the weight-loss programs, a card lowers only phentermine's price: 35% off the first month.
What should I bring to my first visit?
Bring a list of every medication and supplement you take, plus the name and dose of any GLP-1 you already use. Fill out the intake forms we text from (352) 706-8733 before your visit. For phentermine by telehealth, have your Florida driver's license or state ID and a picture of a recent blood pressure reading ready.
