Your provider: Sarah Weir, APRN.
Padgett's peptide therapy in Ocala reaches Leesburg by telehealth. It starts with a visit with Sarah Weir, APRN, who weighs your goals, health history and medications before deciding whether any peptide fits. Peptide prices are not on the site yet, but they are coming; for now your provider explains what your plan costs at the visit, with no contracts. To begin, send a peptide visit request or call (352) 369-0104, and the team follows up to schedule you.
What do people in Leesburg use peptides for?
Mainly recovery from an active life, sleep and healthy aging, and focus, plus skin, gut comfort and metabolism. Lake County's oldest city, incorporated in 1875, has public boat ramps on Lake Griffin and Lake Harris plus lighted tennis courts, so recovery is where this page starts. Not everyone is active, though: for 2023, CDC PLACES estimated that about 3 in 10 Leesburg adults (31.4%) had no leisure-time physical activity in the past month, versus 26.1% countywide. That is a city figure, not a reason to take a peptide.
Is there a peptide for a sore shoulder after a day on Lake Griffin?
One of the most asked-about peptides for that kind of strain is BPC-157, a 15-amino-acid peptide people use to support the healing of tendons, ligaments, muscles and joints. Herlong Park, 700 E. North Blvd., has a boat ramp to Lake Griffin and a public pier, and a day of trailering, hauling and casting is hard on shoulders and elbows. In rats, BPC-157 has been reported to help injured tendons and ligaments heal, and animal studies suggest it may spur the blood vessel growth healing tissue relies on. Human research is early.
What about tennis and shuffleboard regulars on Palmetto Street?
TB-500 is the other recovery peptide people raise, and the city's Palmetto Street Complex, 310 S. Palmetto St., has four tennis courts and 24 shuffleboard courts. TB-500 is a short peptide, reported to be seven amino acids long and commonly described as a synthetic copy of the active region of thymosin beta-4, a protein present in most of your cells that helps repair cells travel to an injury. People use it to support recovery after injuries and hard sessions, and wound healing. That thinking rests mainly on lab and animal work with thymosin beta-4; studies of TB-500 itself in people are limited.
Is there a peptide for irritated skin or an unsettled gut?
KPV is the peptide for that question. Just three amino acids long, it comes from the end of alpha-MSH, a hormone the body makes that helps regulate inflammation. Its anti-inflammatory and wound-healing effects have shown up only in lab and animal models; it has not yet been studied in people. The compounded forms proposed for it are a cream and a gel. KPV is not a treatment for eczema, colitis or any diagnosed condition, so care that is working for you stays in place.
Does MOTS-c help with weight or energy?
It is studied for both, but only in animals so far. MOTS-c has 16 amino acids, and its code sits in mitochondrial DNA, inside the structures that power your cells. In mice on a high-fat diet it helped prevent weight gain and insulin resistance, and in young and older mice it improved treadmill performance. It has not been tested for weight loss in people. For weight goals, ask about our weight-loss programs too; personalized compounded semaglutide in Leesburg covers one of them from here.
Is Epitalon a sleep peptide?
People use Epitalon, a four-amino-acid peptide tied to the pineal gland, to support restful sleep and healthy aging. Small studies in night-shift workers looked at its effect on melatonin and the body clock; lab studies on human cells found it raised telomerase activity and lengthened telomeres, the protective caps on chromosomes; animal studies reported longer lifespans. None of that shows it changes how a person ages. Because poor sleep that drags on can trace back to sleep apnea, low mood or a medication, your provider sorts out the cause before anything else.
Can Semax help me focus for classes or work?
Semax is a seven-amino-acid nasal peptide people use to support focus, memory and mental clarity. At the Leesburg Public Library, 100 E. Main St., you can reserve a study room for one two-hour session a day, and the library is open until 7 p.m. Monday through Thursday. Semax is a registered medicine in Russia, where it has been studied for stroke, and in rats it raised BDNF, a protein that helps brain cells grow and connect. It is not an ADHD treatment; for focus trouble that goes back years, start with adult ADHD care in Leesburg.
How does a peptide visit work from Leesburg?
It can be done entirely by telehealth: the visit happens on video while you are physically in Florida, and your provider reviews your goals, history and medications. If a peptide fits, your provider prescribes it, a state-licensed pharmacy compounds it for you, and your provider decides the form, such as an injection under the skin, a cream, or a nasal spray for Semax. Check-ins follow. Coming in means close to an hour each way on US 27/441, on a weekday between 9:00 AM and 5:00 PM; see how Padgett telehealth works.
What should Leesburg residents know before trying any of them?
That the evidence is early and that the six peptides are not FDA-approved. Each is compounded for one patient's prescription by a state-licensed pharmacy, and most of the research is in animals or cells. Injected peptides can trigger immune reactions, so report anything new right away and never change the amount or schedule yourself. Semax needs extra care: in mice it increased amphetamine-driven dopamine release, a response FDA links to drugs of abuse, so your provider reviews your mental health and every medication first.
Can tested athletes use BPC-157, TB-500 or MOTS-c?
No. All three are prohibited under the World Anti-Doping Agency's list, so anyone competing under anti-doping rules, which cover many college and amateur athletes, should not use them. If your league or tournament tests, read its rules first.
Is the clinic closer from Lady Lake or The Villages?
Yes, both are closer. Lady Lake, which you pass on US 27/441, is about 23.5 miles and 38 minutes from the clinic without traffic, and The Villages is about 22 miles and 34 minutes. Each has its own page: peptide therapy in Lady Lake and peptide therapy in The Villages.

Peptide therapy questions from Leesburg
Do I ever have to drive to Ocala for peptide visits?
No. Your provider visit and later check-ins can all happen by telehealth while you are physically in Florida, so a Leesburg kitchen table works fine. To meet once in person, the clinic at 200 SW 8th St. is open Monday to Friday.
How much do peptides cost at Padgett?
Prices are not posted yet; they are coming soon. At the visit, your provider walks you through what your plan would cost, and you sign no contract. For questions first, a free 15-minute phone call with the medical staff is available; it is not a visit with the provider, and nothing is prescribed on it.
Will a peptide replace physical therapy for my shoulder?
No. A peptide would be one part of a recovery plan, alongside rest, rehab and staying active. Keep any physical therapy that is helping, and tell your provider about it. Your provider looks at the injury, your health and your medications, then explains whether a peptide fits and what to realistically expect.
