For Fruitland Park patients
$169 first visit
- With a card on file: 35% off $260.
- Your first visit is in person in Ocala.
- Follow-ups are $136, in person or by telehealth.
Your provider: Sarah Weir, APRN.
The first visit costs new patients $260; book online with a card on file and it's $169, 35% off. After that, every follow-up runs $136, no matter who you are or whether it happens in the office or on a screen. Should a prescription come out of your care, you fill it at your own pharmacy, and Padgett's visit fee doesn't include it. The adult ADHD treatment in Ocala page covers how the program works.
How do working adults in Fruitland Park get to their jobs?
Mostly by driving out of town. Census Bureau estimates for 2020 to 2024 count about 3,311 working residents; 85.8% work outside the city limits and 31.7% work outside Lake County entirely. The average one-way commute is 23.0 minutes, and close to 3 in 10 of those who commute leave home before 7 a.m. Of residents 16 and older, 45.5% are in the labor force, and about a quarter of those with jobs work in education, health care or social assistance. A 30-minute appointment in Ocala has to fit around all of that.
What do CDC estimates say about sleep and stress in Fruitland Park?
Both come in a little below the county's numbers. In 2022, CDC PLACES estimated that 33.4% of Fruitland Park adults usually got less than 7 hours of sleep in a 24-hour period, compared with 36.6% for Lake County. In 2023, 14.5% reported frequent mental distress, meaning 14 or more days of poor mental health in the past 30, against 15.7% countywide. Neither figure measures ADHD or says anything about you. For adults 18 to 60, the CDC's guidance is at least 7 hours of sleep.
Is poor sleep worth mentioning at the evaluation?
Yes, it's worth bringing up. NIMH describes sleep problems as especially common in adults with ADHD, affecting up to 70% of them, and notes that ADHD often shows up together with other mental health conditions. Sleep matters for focus on its own, too: the CDC lists improved attention and memory among the benefits of enough sleep. So mention how you sleep, and how your mood has been, along with the rest of your health history.
What gets covered in those 30 minutes?
Expect a conversation about your history, not a quick checklist. With Sarah Weir, APRN, you'll talk through the symptoms you notice, when they began (childhood counts), how they show up at work and at home, your health history, the medications you take now and any earlier records. NIMH notes that adults with ADHD often have a history of poor school performance, work problems or strained relationships, and the questions about work and home cover that ground. Any treatment plan that follows could include medication you and the provider choose together, non-medication strategies, or both. No one settles on a diagnosis or a prescription before you've been evaluated, so neither is promised.
How much time should I take off for the first visit?
Plan on about two and a half hours. The drive is roughly 44 minutes each way without traffic, the evaluation is 30 minutes, and checking in adds a little more. Padgett books these visits Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, so a Saturday trip from Fruitland Park isn't an option. If you work an early shift, an afternoon slot can follow it, but the CDC lists a lower risk of motor vehicle crashes among the benefits of enough sleep, so don't schedule the drive after a short night.
I'm a student at the Leesburg campus. Is there a college price?
Yes, with two conditions that go together: an online booking with a card on file, and a valid college ID, checked at the visit. With both, the first visit is $130, 50% off instead of 35%; the student price stops there, and follow-ups cost the same as for everyone else. Lake-Sumter State College's Leesburg Campus sits on US 441 across from the Leesburg Municipal Airport. See college ADHD treatment for the details.
I have kids at Fruitland Park Elementary. When should I book?
A late-morning weekday slot is often the easiest fit, but check the bell schedule first. The school has a new campus at 901 Olive Avenue: Lake County Schools opened it with a ribbon-cutting on April 9, 2025, and said students would move there that fall from the original school on W. Fountain Street, which opened in 1965. With two 44-minute drives and a 30-minute visit, that slot can sit between drop-off and pickup on many days, and after the first visit, telehealth follow-ups from home mean fewer afternoons away.
Do follow-ups have to be in Ocala too?
No. Follow-ups can be by telehealth from your home in Fruitland Park, as long as you're physically in Florida during the visit. The fee doesn't change for video: $136 either way. Set up somewhere private with a reliable connection, silence notifications, and have your current medication list within reach. With most working residents commuting out of the city, a follow-up from home can save a weekday trip. For setup questions, see telehealth visits for Florida patients.
What does Florida's prescription-monitoring law mean for my visit?
It means a prescriber checks the state's records before prescribing many controlled substances. The program, E-FORCSE, is run by the Florida Department of Health, and section 893.055 of the Florida Statutes says prescribers must consult it to review a patient's controlled substance dispensing history first. That's a requirement on prescribers, not a sign that any particular visit ends with a prescription. Any medication you and your provider settle on is filled at your own pharmacy, and no one promises same-day medication.

Getting to us from Fruitland Park
Our clinic is at 200 SW 8th St A, Ocala, FL 34471.
Plan the in-person ADHD evaluation as a round trip of about 55 miles: north on US 27/441 from Fruitland Park through Lady Lake, staying on the highway after US 301 joins near Belleview, then S Pine Avenue into Ocala and a right onto SW 8th Street. Each way runs roughly 44 minutes without traffic, so block out the drive, check-in and the 30-minute visit as one stretch of time.
Open Mon-Fri 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM.
Adult ADHD questions from Fruitland Park
Can I fit the first ADHD visit into a lunch break?
Probably not from Fruitland Park. The evaluation alone is 30 minutes, and the clinic at 200 SW 8th St., Suite A, is roughly 44 minutes away each way without traffic, so it usually takes a half day. Follow-ups are easier to fit around work, since they can be by telehealth from home while you're in Florida.
I was treated for ADHD as a child and stopped. Can I restart as an adult?
You can ask, and the first visit is where that starts. It's a full evaluation, so bring any old records, a list of what you take now and notes on how symptoms affect work and home. The provider decides what fits; nothing is promised. See restarting ADHD treatment as an adult.
Do I have to leave a card on file to book?
No, but a booking made without a card stays unconfirmed until a staff member reaches you by phone. With a card on file, nothing is charged when you book, the clinic holds your visit, and new patients get the $169 first-visit price instead of $260.
