Adult ADHD Treatment for Belleview

Yes. Padgett Medical Center evaluates and treats adult ADHD for people living in Belleview, and the one thing to plan around is the first visit: a 30-minute evaluation that is always in person at our Ocala clinic, about 18 minutes up US 441 without traffic. Follow-ups after that can happen by telehealth from home.

For Belleview patients

$169 first visit

  • With a card on file: 35% off $260.
  • Your first visit is in person in Ocala.
  • Follow-ups are $136, in person or by telehealth.

Your provider: Sarah Weir, APRN.

The evaluation is $260, or $169 when you book online with a card on file, which is 35% off, and that price is for new patients. Every follow-up, for every patient, is $136. College students can pay less for the first visit under two conditions, covered in the questions below. Everything else about the program is on adult ADHD treatment in Ocala.

Are Belleview adults getting enough sleep?

Not all of them: about 4 in 10 fall short, by CDC's estimate. PLACES puts the share of Belleview adults who usually got less than 7 hours of sleep in a 24-hour period at 39.9% in 2022, slightly above Marion County's 38.9%. That's a sleep number, not an ADHD number, and short sleep alone doesn't mean you have ADHD. Still, the National Institute of Mental Health says up to 70% of adults with ADHD have sleep problems, so be honest about your nights at the evaluation.

What does the mental distress figure say about Belleview?

It measures hard stretches, not ADHD. In 2023, by CDC's estimate, 19.1% of Belleview adults had 14 or more days of poor mental health in the past 30, above the 16.6% county figure. NIMH notes that ADHD often occurs alongside other mental health conditions and can make them harder to treat, which is one reason the evaluation covers your whole health history and current medications, not only attention.

How is adult ADHD different from just being busy or tired?

By how much, how often and for how long. NIMH says many people show some of these behaviors some of the time, but in adults with ADHD they are more severe, frequent and persistent, show up across different settings, interfere with daily life and last at least 6 months. Adult examples it lists include poor time management, planning or organization, and a restless need for constant activity.

How do I fit an in-person evaluation into a Belleview workday?

Ask for a little more time off than the visit itself. The evaluation runs 30 minutes, and the clinic is open Monday through Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM. If you already commute up US 441 into Ocala for work, booking near the start or end of your shift may mean no extra driving at all. If you work in Belleview, a lunch hour may not be long enough once you count the drive both ways.

What if my mornings start with a Belleview school drop-off?

Book between drop-off and pickup. Belleview High School and Belleview Middle School share SE 36th Avenue, at 10400 and 10500, and federal school data counted 1,904 and 1,600 students there in the 2024-2025 school year; Belleview Elementary on SE County Highway 484 had 681. Those schools draw from well beyond a city the Census Bureau estimated at 6,512 residents in July 2025. A late-morning appointment keeps you clear of both school runs.

What will the provider ask during the evaluation?

Expect Sarah Weir, APRN, to cover what your symptoms are, when they started (including whether they showed up in childhood) and what they do to your work and home life. She also reviews your health history, current medications and any records from past evaluations. NIMH explains that adults must have shown symptoms before age 12, so old report cards or a relative's memories can help; bring what you have.

Should I expect a prescription at the end of the evaluation?

Not necessarily, and no diagnosis or medication is promised ahead of time. If treatment makes sense, it may include medication chosen with your provider and strategies that don't involve medication. Before prescribing many controlled substances, Florida prescribers are required by law (section 893.055, Florida Statutes) to look up your history in E-FORCSE, the state's prescription drug monitoring program. If you do get a prescription, you fill it at the pharmacy you already use, and the medicine is paid for there, separate from the visit fee.

Can my follow-ups happen from home in Belleview?

Yes. Follow-ups can be by telehealth from home or in person at the clinic, at the same price either way, as long as you're physically in Florida for a telehealth visit. That saves you the drive up US 441 on a workday. Our overview of telehealth in Florida answers common questions about those visits.

Can I handle weight-loss care at the same clinic?

You can. Padgett's Ocala clinic also offers medical weight loss, and personalized compounded semaglutide for Belleview adults explains that option for people here. If you already take a weight-loss medication, put it on the list for your ADHD evaluation, since your provider needs to see everything you take.

How does the drive from Marion Oaks compare?

It's longer and uses different roads. From Marion Oaks, the route takes County Road 484 to I-75, then north to SR 200 and into Ocala, about 16 miles and roughly 25 minutes to the clinic without traffic, compared with Belleview's straight run on US 441. Adult ADHD care in Marion Oaks covers that drive. To get on the calendar, book your adult ADHD evaluation online.

Planning the in-person evaluation? The drive is about 18 minutes in each direction when traffic is light: US 441 north from Belleview turns into S Pine Avenue in Ocala, and the clinic's street, SW 8th, comes up on the right shortly before downtown. Add the 30-minute visit, and expect to be away from work a little over an hour, longer at rush hour.

Open Mon-Fri 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM.

Adult ADHD questions from Belleview

Can my first ADHD visit be a telehealth visit?

No. Your first ADHD visit, a 30-minute evaluation, has to happen face to face at 200 SW 8th St., Suite A, in Ocala. After that, follow-ups can be by telehealth while you're physically in Florida, so the drive from Belleview can be a one-time trip if you choose telehealth afterward.

I was treated for ADHD as a child. Will I get the same medication?

Not automatically. Your provider decides after the evaluation whether medication makes sense and which one, and nothing is promised in advance. Bring old records or the names of medicines you took, since they help with your history. Our article on restarting ADHD treatment as an adult covers what to expect.

Do I qualify for the college student price?

Only if both conditions apply: you book online with a card on file, and you have a valid college ID, which is checked at the visit. Meet both and the first visit drops to $130, a 50% discount that replaces the usual 35% one, for that first visit only. The full student rules are on ADHD treatment for college students.
